Dusty and Scufts

Dusty and Scruffts met in
Penzance in Cornwall in 1999.
Cornwall is situated in the
South West of England and Penzance
is a very long way from their
current home in Bedford.
Since their meeting they
have travelled to many counties
and seen a number of exciting
things in these pages Dusty
and Scruffts would like to share
with you their love of travel
and adventure and describe the
wonderful things they have seen.
As both Dusty and Scrufts
are Cornish they begin their
adventures there and return
to Cornwall on various occassions
to visit their Granparents.

The meeting
Dusty ran into Scrufts in Bread street;
they immediately became friends.
In Penzance they visited the habour and
watched the Scillonian III leave for the
Isles of Scilly - they decided that one
day they would have to visit there too.
While in Penzance they walked along the
promonade and watch people swimming in the
outside pool. This pool is quite special
as it is filled by sea water and although
the sea around Cornwall can be very cold
even on sunny days the water in the swimming
tends to be slightly warmer.
Of course Cornwall has it's own language;
in Cornish Penzance is Pensans and the famous
pasty is pasti or hoggan. Both Dusty and
Scuffs li.ke pasties very much.
Penzance is on the shores of Mount's
Bay - a body of water dominated by the wonder
of St. Michael's Mount, which the boys went
on to visit with their friend Digger.
